ARMemories.
ARMemories, or Augmented Reality Memories,is an application designed for mobile devices that aims to increase the reality of memories by animating simple photos stored in a paper photo album.
Augmented Reality Memories means reliving memories in an augmented way; they will no longer be mere static photographs, but real moments to be relived in the expressions, words and sounds that a simple photograph could never express.
The Application.
The app is very simple and intuitive to use. Upon login, the albums that the user has uploaded are displayed; each virtual album in the app corresponds to a paper album that the user owns.
By choosing a specific virtual album, the user will simply have to browse the paper album while scanning it with their tablet’s camera: the app will do all the magic of the augmented reality.
Animation and Filters.
The augmented memory, seen through the tablet, will be given life starting from the static photo by animating the objects in it, and allowing to hear the sounds “hidden” in that memory.
As for many photography-related applications, it will be possible to apply filters to augmented memories.
